A way in which this creates relationships with the audience through proomiting different artists through the use of technology such as YouTube, magazines and top of the pops. This would create better relationships with the audience as they are able to see their favourite artist on many different technologys across the internet and television.
A music channel that was one of the first was MTV that started airing on the television in he United States of America in 1981 and this marked the making of history and the beginning if the importance of music videos the it's major importance within the music industry. There was a significant change to the history of music as their was a music video by the artist Psy who created the music video Gangman Style which has a record breaking amount of views in YouTube of around 2,147,483,647 views, then prompting the company to update its software to handle larger numbers. This received so many views due to promoting of the song and a global audience that wanted to learn the dance moves. This music video had an affect on the audience due to the way on every chorus has thr same dance moves going on. This then created more people wanting to watch it as the were able to learn the dance moves and create a global phenomenon. This is a significant change as where the song was on YouTube it was easily promoted and was then shown on many other technologies such as television and more of the internet and this wouldn't usually happen in the 60's 50's due to techonogoly not being so advanced than what it is now. This shows how the internet and television have to play a big part in a music videos success.
